I hope you enjoy my current work as it is an outgrowth of many years spent working in oils, acrylics and pen & ink sketching. I'm striving to be free in my work with not too much emphasis on perfection. I feel that let's the viewer "see" more of what their mind likes about a piece. Growing up, I studied painting through youth and adult classes at Kendall College of Art and Design, and pursued a career in Landscape Architecture as a way to draw on my love of art and the outdoors. I've had the opportunity to travel to Europe on several occasions, which has been a great inspiration for design, as well as the opportunity to create a collection of fun sketches. While much of what I do continues to be self-taught, I'm always looking for a new challenge and inspiration around me. I love gardening, tennis, rummaging at estate sales for that next unique find, and nothing beats a sunset over the beach of Lake Michigan. If I'm not painting or strolling along the sand, you can find me in the backyard trying to create a jungle oasis with all the plants I can find.
